All ingredients used in Back 2 Nature's products are 100% natural, plant- and mineral-based, locally sourced, and organic (where possible). The Back 2 Nature range of products contain no nasty chemicals, preservatives or chemical fillers, meaning they are healthier for you and the planet.

To provide transparency and reassurance, Back 2 Nature has ensured that all of their products are approved by the Beauty Without Cruelty Association of South Africa, the South African Vegan Society and their sun care range is CANSA Sun Smart Approved. All of Back 2 Nature's products are Proudly South African Accredicted and are made in small batches with love and gratitude towards nature in Cape Town, South Africa.

Back 2 Nature's Wheat Straw, BIOPlastic packaging.

Back 2 Nature uses Wheat Straw - BIOPlastic for all of their squeeze tube packaging. The packaging is manufactured out of wheat straw, rice husk, other natural renewable plant fibres, and polymer resins. These ingredients make up the final material of their packaging tubes. This makes Back 2 Nature's packaging an environmentally friendly composite material.

The straw materials used to make the packaging are sourced from the by-products of wheat farmers and cattle feed, from the animal agriculture industry. Utilising the waste of these industries is a step in the right direction of undoing the damages caused by said industries.

Fun Facts about Wheat Straw BIOPlastics:

• It is renewable, meaning it can be produced indefinitely.
• It is less energy intensive to produce than traditional fossil fuel plastics, therefore it produces fewer greenhouse gases.
• It is stronger and more durable than traditional fossil fuel plastics. It can therefore be used for a variety of applications, such as packaging, construction and more.
• Its lifespan of recyclability is also longer than fossil fuel plastics.
• The natural fibres make the material sturdy without requiring the addition of toxic fossil fuels like crude oil.
• It is BPA free.
• It does not contain gluten.
• It uses up to 30% less plastic than traditional plastics of the same size container.
